Laura Brightwood is a professional fine and digital artist and writer. As the Director of Curriculum Development, you will find her work on the covers and as the illustrator for multiple children's picture books and educational curriculum. As well as functioning as the creative director, Laura's commissioned human and animal portraiture has been the delight of many. Using both digital and traditional mediums, Laura is an artist who begins from the elements of fine art and uses the technology of digital mediums to blend the two. She resides in Hillsborough, NC, just outside of Chapel Hill, home of UNC and Tarheels. Laura works as an artist and writer in Cary, NC. Laura is a native of Kentucky, having completed both her undergraduate and masters studies in the Bluegrass state. She is a psychologist as well. But most importantly, the mother of one amazing little girl.
